With great regret, we have to confirm that bakerbus services 33/33A and 77 sunset strip will cease to operate after Saturday 30 April 2011 and services 423/424 will cease to operate after Thursday 28 April 2011.

We have reached this difficult decision because of impending significant reductions in local authority reimbursement of concessionary fares.

As most of the customers on these services are entitled to free travel, this means that they will no longer be viable for us to operate them.

These services have always been "marginal cases."  We have done our very best to develop and improve them over the years, but we have now reached the point whereby we should be actually losing money if they were to continue.

We understand that the local authorities may be making alternative arrangements and so we advise you to contact the public transport departments of each, according to where you live, for further information, (telephone numbers in brackets) :-
